How to measure

Use calipers on both parts you’re joining. For a hose or tube, measure the outer diameter where it will slide over something, or the inner diameter where something will slide into it — the tool matches this with the “Outer” / “Inner” fit switch on each side.

Measure in millimetres. If you only have inches, multiply by 25.4.

FAQ

Will this actually seal? A well-fit adapter (right tolerance for your printer, three or more walls) holds a friction fit well. For a pressurized or submerged joint, a wrap of PTFE tape or a hose clamp over the joint adds margin.

My printer runs tight — parts don’t fit. Raise the tolerance value a little (0.1–0.2 mm steps) and reprint.

Can I get an exact CAD file, not just STL? STEP export lands in a later phase for generators that support it; this page’s export panel will show a STEP button once it’s available for hose adapters.
